At the World Congress of Music Therapy 2026 in Bologna, Italy, Dr. Shubham Kulkarni was invited as a workshop speaker to lead a two-hour session on *Indian Music Therapy in Hospice Care, exploring its applications for neurological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual well-being at the end of life. The workshop brought together **more than 100 participants from across the world. Held as part of the world’s largest gathering of music therapists, the Congress welcomed approximately **1,500 participants*, making this an important international platform for sharing India’s perspectives on music therapy and compassionate end-of-life care.

Five enriching days of retreat and dialogue in Varanasi- Sharing Indian Classical Music Therapy, Ayurveda, spirituality, end-of-life care through music, and insights from the Bhagavad Gita and Kashmir Shaivism-from psychological and sound perspectives-with a beautiful group of 18 participants from the USA. A perfect way to begin the year in a city that naturally inspires reflection and expression. Sessions on the ghats, in temples, and at the Banaras Cultural Foundation Centre made it a truly meaningful experience.

This 10-day enriching retreat in Rishikesh was organized in collaboration with a yoga center from Germany and brought together more than 15 participants from Germany for an immersive journey into holistic well-being. The program included Ayurveda and mental health–related sessions, individual counseling consultations for emotional well-being, Indian classical music therapy sessions, and soulful kirtan experiences. Several sessions were conducted on the serene banks of the Ganga, creating a deeply meditative and healing atmosphere. Integrating Ayurveda, music, and Indian spiritual wisdom, the retreat offered participants an authentic experience of India’s traditional healing traditions in their natural setting.
